Albert van Abbe, BLNDR, Abayomi, Manuel Münster
Albert van Abbe has been on our list since the very first party in November 2013, so we are more than happy to finally welcome him behind the DJ-Decks at Escapism. He's been a key figure in the Dutch electronic music scene for more than 15 years, constantly reinventing himself and pushing boundaries not only with his labels NoComment (now defunct) and Vanabbe but also with his party series DRUM in his hometown of Eindhoven.
Paris has gone through quite a change in the last couple of years. Thanks to key figures like Francois X and DJ Deep and to clubs like Concrete and Batofar, the city's techno scene regained its former strength. One of Paris' rising new talents is BLNDR. Thanks to his releases on Hypnus and Annulled Music and his connection to Blocaus, he sparked interest in his music all over Europe and maintains a busy tour schedule by now.
One of Berlin's best kept secrets, Abayomi has been flying under the radar of most people for some time. In 2016 he managed to turn some heads though with releasing tracks on his own Abayomi-Imprint as well as Reclaim Your City. His music is of a rare quality, combining bleak sounddesign with soulfulness and funky percussive elements.
As always, Manuel Münster will step up to the DJ-booth as well to take care of his Resident-DJ duties. With a knack for deep, reduced techno he'll close the party in an appropriate manner.
